Castle of Zrínyi bemutatása

The Castle of Szigetvár is connected with the name of the Croatian Ban Miklós Zrínyi,the great Hero, who fought with his army of 2500 man against the huge army of Suleiman the Magnificent.Until finally, with 300 defenders he broke out of the inner castle.This event is written in the great epos, a Szigeti Veszedelem. After that, the fortified fortress was built by the victorious turks later on and it remained in the same state as they built it.

There is a bridge and the Statue of Zrínyi in the Castle's yard, what shows the exact place of the outburst.
